Dyson Cordless Vacuum Cleaner Reviews Best Model

Throughout the years, vacuum cleaners have gone through a major transformation. The old days of lugging around a thirty-pound vacuum are gone!

Now, the vacuums are much lighter, more powerful and can ensure that your home is perfectly clean.

With this in mind, you will need to put in a little more effort, when attempting to purchase an awesomely efficient vacuum cleaner. The brand, model and features are all extremely important.

There is absolutely no doubt that Dyson is one of the leading manufacturers of innovative vacuum cleaners. First, they revolutionized the market with the Dyson ball.

Now, they’re leading the way with cordless vacuums. Within this guide, you will be able to discover everything you need to about the best Dyson cordless vacuums on the market.

Dyson V6 Absolute

The V6 Absolute is part of the first cordless and handheld range that Dyson introduced, and it is certainly one of the best around.

Take a look at the reviews below and see what I thought of this nifty little vacuum cleaner – it could be the perfect one for you.

The Good
This cordless vacuum cleaner is slim and compact, which is one of its best features. The running time is good, giving you enough time to clean your home and ensure dirt and debris have been picked up.

Additionally, it has a fast charging period, and you can either use a mains charger, or a wall mounted one – both of which are supplied. What I love about the wall mounted charger is that it keeps the vacuum out of the way and has storage for the attachments on it too.

The suction and power are superb, and on the turbo setting, you can really see it start to lift the carpet to remove embedded dirt and debris.

Plus, once you take the aluminium hose off it converts into a handheld vacuum cleaner, which can be used to make cleaning areas like the stairs, furniture, and interior of your car much easier.

There is even a brilliant range of attachments that will help you to keep every part of your home lovely and clean.

The Not So Good
The turbo mode only lasts six minutes, and the canister can be difficult to empty once it is full.

Key Features

  • Power: 100 watts
  • Run Time: 20 mins
  • Charge Time: 3 hours
  • Weight: 2kg
  • Dust Capacity: 0.4L
  • Battery Voltage: 21.6v
  • Noise: 87db

Our View
This is probably the best vacuum cleaner in the V6 range, and it certainly proves it when it comes to the power and suction provided. The running time on turbo mode can be a little disappointing, but you should only need it for really tough areas that are hard to clean.

Similarly, the emptying mechanism for the canister can be fiddly and messy, but this has been resolved in later models. Overall, the V6 Absolute does make for an excellent, reliable, and sturdy vacuum – there is a reason it is the public’s favourite after all.

Dyson V7 Total Clean

The V7 range is the latest from Dyson, having been released in 2017, and it nestles nicely between the V6 and V8 to offer an excellent compromise.

For true cleaning power and a machine that is great to use, take a look and see if this is going to be the vacuum cleaner for you.

The Good
The Dyson V7 Total Clean is an excellent vacuum cleaner, and one that I was really pleased with. It sits between the V6 and the V8 range, offering a great compromise between the two.

The power is much greater than the V6, and I found that it did a much better job on my hard floors and carpets than I could have expected, and even did well sucking up scattered pet hair when called to duty.

Like the rest of the range, the V7 Total Clean is able to convert into a handheld vacuum cleaner, which makes it much simpler to tidy up the stairs, ensure the furniture is cleaned, and even get the interior of your car done.

The running time is superb, offering a great timeframe to ensure that your home is nice and tidy, and the charging period is shorter as well, so it will be ready to go again in no time at all.

The Not So Good
The battery life on the max setting only lasts seven minutes, which can be frustrating for some.

Our View
The V7 series is very impressive, and the Total Clean certainly lives up to the high standard that Dyson has set themselves. While the turbo setting doesn’t last for a long period of time, it should be enough for you to get the toughest stains and collections of dirt out of your carpet.

Dyson V8 Absolute

The premium line from Dyson, the V8 Absolute promises to deliver superb power and suction that can ensure any dirt and debris is removed from your floor.

If you think that this could be the next best vacuum cleaner for you, take a look and see what I thought of it when I tried it out.

The Good
The Dyson V8 Absolute offers power and suction on a level that is unlike anything from the other two ranges. Even on the regular setting, the suction is very powerful, and the second speed (turbo) really works to pull all of the embedded dirt and grime out of your carpet.

Plus, this model fixed than canister issue from the V6, so emptying it is simple and only takes the press of a button. Combined with the advanced filtration system, it is ideal for asthma and allergy sufferers.

It's really lightweight and easy to handle, and the main floorhead has a brush bar that has alternating bristles to work equally on hard floor and carpet – so you end up with floors that are thoroughly clean.

This was one of my favourite features, as it was gentle on my hardwood floors but still got the dirt out of my carpet. Like the rest of the V range, the V8 Absolute can be mounted on the wall to save space, but also to charge.

The Not So Good
It does tend to snow plough large debris, and so you will need to remove the head and just use the aluminium hose to clean these pieces up.

Key Features

  • Power: 100 watts
  • Run Time: 40 mins
  • Charge Time: 3.5 hours
  • Weight: 2.5kg
  • Dust Capacity: 0.6L
  • Battery Voltage: 21.6v
  • Noise: 72db

Our View
This is one of the best vacuum cleaners that Dyson have to offer, and it delivers the kind of power and suction you would expect from a mains vacuum cleaner.

While it does tend to snowplough larger debris, this can be resolved easily by using the metal hose to suck it all up. The running time is superb, and it has an excellent charging period that will leave it up and running again in no time at all.

Quiet and easy to handle, this lightweight vacuum cleaner is the perfect model for keeping out of the way, but also keeping your house clean
